Context: OCC 2025 Review

The OCC confirmed in 2025 that major banks applied sector-wide restrictions to legal adult businesses based on reputational risk \u2014 not fraud, not illegal activity. Your complaint now lands in a documented federal pattern.

What To Do

Six steps, in order.

01

01

Document everything immediately

Before you lose access: screenshot your account status and balance, export your full transaction history, download all bank correspondence, and note the exact date and reason given (if any).

02

02

Your funds cannot be held indefinitely

Banks are required to return your funds after account closure. Document the amount held and the date. Funds held beyond a reasonable period are a separate, escalatable issue from the account closure itself.

File with the OCC (national banks)
