THE INDUSTRY HUB
Adult Industry & In-Person Worker Rights
What you can legally do, earn, and demand, by state. Strippers, dancers, cam studio performers, and in-person adult industry workers deserve to know the laws that govern their work.
Bodily autonomy and the right to earn a living are civil rights issues. The laws on this page exist and apply to you whether or not anyone acknowledges that.
Updated manually every 2–4 weeks. Laws change; always verify local ordinances. Last updated: April 2026.
Why most rules are local, not state
State law sets the baseline: minimum ages, whether nudity requires a license, whether alcohol and nudity can coexist. But the actual rules you work under are usually set by your city or county. This hub covers state baselines and tells you where to find local rules. Always check your municipality's specific ordinances.
